Basketball Recap: Sarcoxie Comes Up Short

After flying high against Exeter last Friday, Sarcoxie came back down to earth. The Sarcoxie Bears received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 58-42 to the Pierce City Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Sarcoxie's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Pierce City, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Coming up, Sarcoxie will head out to challenge Diamond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pierce City, they will square off against Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
