After a string of seven wins, Subiaco Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 63-54 to the Lamar Warriors. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 68-62.

Lamar's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kade Boen led the charge by going 8 of 13 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. What's more, Boen also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ben Noonan, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards.

Subiaco Academy's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 12-4. As for Lamar, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Subiaco Academy will head out to square off against Booneville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamar has already played their next match, a 54-35 victory against Paris on the 25th.
