Soccer Recap: Commerce Takes a Loss

After flying high against Greene County last Tuesday, Commerce came back down to earth. The Commerce Tigers fell 3-1 to the Oglethorpe County Patriots on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

Commerce now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Oglethorpe County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Commerce will welcome Banks County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Commerce is facing Banks County at the right time seeing as Banks County is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Oglethorpe County, they will be playing at home against Providence Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
