Baseball Recap: San Jacinto Leadership Academy Comes Up Short

San Jacinto Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 6-3 to the Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 back in March.

Aiden Westover was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Jonathan McCafferty also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

San Jacinto Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Coincidentally, San Jacinto Leadership Academy and Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School will both be playing Desert Christian Academy the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Conquerors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Lions will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
