Softball Recap: Coon Rapids Comes Up Short

If Coon Rapids was feeling good fresh off their 11-2 takedown of Fridley on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals lost 12-3 to the Irondale/Mounds View Knights on Monday.

Coon Rapids saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kynlee Karger, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Coon Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Irondale/Mounds View, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Coon Rapids will square off against St. Anthony Village at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. Irondale/Mounds View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
