Baseball Recap: Three Straight Road Wins for Schoolhouse Prep

After only one run in their last match, Schoolhouse Prep made sure to put some runs up on the board against ABF Academy on Monday. The Wolfpack walked away with a 14-9 win over the Cowboys. The victory continues a trend for the Wolfpack in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Gian Caicedo, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Francisco Pichardo, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-5.

Caicedo wasn't the only one making solid contact: Schoolhouse Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Wolfpack are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Schoolhouse Prep pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for ABF Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-12.

Schoolhouse Prep has already played their next game, a 5-4 loss against Miami Christian on the 9th. As for ABF Academy, they will head out to take on Coral Springs Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
