Basketball Game Preview: Newmarket Mules vs. Mount Royal Academy Knights

After both having extra time off, the Newmarket Mules and the Mount Royal Academy Knights will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Newmarket will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Newmarket is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Wilton-Lyndeborough, posting a 49-22 victory. The Mules have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Mount Royal Academy, as they earned their first road win of the season. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 41-24 win over Epping last Friday.

The victory got Mount Royal Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Newmarket, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Newmarket took their victory against Mount Royal Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 by a conclusive 45-25. Will Newmarket repeat their success, or does Mount Royal Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
