Soccer Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the East View Patriots, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 610th, while the Patriots are ranked 151st).

Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for East View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Hendrickson the next time they take the pitch. East View will head out to face Hendrickson at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Elgin will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on February 18th.
