Softball Recap: Canton Comes Up Short

Canton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 24-2 to the Yazoo City Indians. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Canton's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Yazoo City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-14.

Looking ahead, Canton will take on Greenville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Hornets have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Yazoo City, they will welcome Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
