Baseball Game Preview: Walker Wolverines vs. Fellowship Christian Paladins

For the second straight game, Walker will face off against Fellowship Christian. The Wolverines will head out on the road to challenge the Paladins at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Walker is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Fellowship Christian 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolverines have posted since March 17th.

Jonathan Griggs was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Walker's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 9-16 when he doesn't). Zachary Munafo was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Fellowship Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-7. As for Walker, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-16.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Walker has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game.
