Basketball Game Preview: Harding County Ranchers vs. Philip Scotties

The Harding County Ranchers will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Philip Scotties at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Two weeks ago, Harding County lost to Sundance on the road by a 59-45 margin.

Harding County's loss came about despite a quality game from Cohen Smith, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Meyer, who posted four points and five steals.

Even though they lost, Harding County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in nine consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Philip ended up a good deal behind Sully Buttes on Monday and lost 69-53.

Philip now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Harding County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
