Baseball Game Preview: Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans vs. Grace Christian Academy Rams

The Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans will take on the Grace Christian Academy Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Morristown-Hamblen West is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since March 14th on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past White House-Heritage 4-3.

Paxton Seal made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cody Blair, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Bryson Shepard was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Grace Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Bearden 11-9. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Morristown-Hamblen West's win bumped their record up to 14-8-1. As for Grace Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.
