Recap: Homer Trojans vs. Chittenango Bears
The Homer Trojans had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Chittenango on the road and fell 68-38. Homer has not had much luck with Chittenango recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
It was another big night for Ryan Moesch, who scored 31 points along with nine assists and six steals for Chittenango. The match was Moesch's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Taylor, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Homer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Chittenango, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homer will be home for the holidays to greet Cortland at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Cortland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. As for Chittenango, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on General Brown at 7:15 p.m. on December 18th. General Brown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 369th, while Chittenango is ranked 122nd).
