The Dickson County Cougars will take on the Rossview Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Dickson County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Rossview's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Dickson County will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against West Creek on Thursday. The Cougars never let the Coyote get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Elizabeth Dunnagan made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Coralee Grove was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Audrey Burr also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Dickson County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .619. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Creek only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Rossview came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Rebels.
Rossview's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Addyson Waller, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Dickson County is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Rossview, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9.
Dickson County was able to grind out a solid victory over Rossview in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 4-1. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
