Recap: Whitehall Railroaders vs. Lake George Lakers
After a string of five wins, the Whitehall Railroaders's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a tough 45-25 loss at the hands of Lake George. The low total for Whitehall ended their streak of high-flying scores.
Jack Welch was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds for Lake George. Welch set a new season high mark in steals with four. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelo Bergman, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Whitehall's loss dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Lake George, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitehall will square off against Waterford-Halfmoon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake George, they will head out on the road to face off against Warrensburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Warrensburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Saturday.
