Basketball Recap: Thornapple Kellogg Takes a Loss

Thornapple Kellogg lost against South Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thornapple Kellogg Trojans received a blow as they fell 52-35 to the South Christian Sailors. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Sailors are ranked eighth).

Thornapple Kellogg has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for South Christian, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Thornapple Kellogg will host Northview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Christian, they will challenge West Catholic at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. West Catholic will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something South Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
