Softball Recap: Stuarts Draft Falls to Page County in First Game of Season

Stuarts Draft had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Page County Panthers on Thursday, falling 13-1. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Stuarts Draft saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddy Miller, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Page County and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stuarts Draft will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Central Woodstock at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Page County, they will face off against East Rockingham at 6:00 p.m. on March 27th.
