Volleyball Recap: Grayslake North Knights vs. Warren Township Blue Devils
Grayslake North lost against Warren Township two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights fell 2-0 to the Blue Devils. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.
The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17.
Logan Smith paced Grayslake North's offense, picking up six kills. Smith got some help from Rees Obaid and his seven assists.
Warren Township found their leader in freshman Kyle Paasch, who had seven digs and two aces. Brady Christensen also deserves some recognition as he had his first blocks of the season.
Grayslake North's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Warren Township, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
Grayslake North will head out on the road to challenge Round Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 25-game losing streak. As for Warren Township, they will be playing at home against Grant Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
