Soccer Game Preview: Spry Community Links vs. Farragut

Spry Community Links will venture away from home to face off against the Farragut Admirals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Spry Community Links will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals last Monday, then bounced right back against Chicago Vocational on Thursday. Spry Community Links never let Chicago Vocational get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Spry Community Links' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Farragut was forced to settle for a draw. They and Mather finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw on Monday.

Itzel Salgado and Julianie Perez scored both of Farragut's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Spry Community Links' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4-1. Farragut's draw gives them a new season record of 6-2-1.

Spry Community Links suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Farragut when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Spry Community Links avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
