Softball Recap: Leander Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Leander owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Lehman Lobos. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Lobos recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Scarlett Geurin's shutout, as she gave up just five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rachel Grundei was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Leander pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lehman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7-1.

Coming up, Leander will welcome Rouse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lehman, they are taking a road trip to face off against Liberty Hill at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Hill will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Lehman surely won't give up without a fight.
