Basketball Recap: Derryfield Takes a Loss

Derryfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Kearsarge Cougars, falling 67-46. While losing is never fun, Derryfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Kearsarge is ranked sixth).

Derryfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Kearsarge, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Derryfield will host Hillsboro-Deering at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kearsarge, they will square off against Gilford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
