Basketball Recap: Tioga Sets Scoring Season-High Against Chico

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tioga). They walked away with a 76-63 win over the Chico Dragons on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 65-63 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Chico lost, don't look at Jordan Weiland. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 30 points and 11 boards. Weiland is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Talon Smith was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points.

Tioga's victory bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Chico, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-21 record this season.

As of now, neither Tioga nor Chico have any future games scheduled.
