Softball Game Preview: South Rebels vs. North Rangers

The South Rebels will head out on the road to take on the North Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, South came up short against West Geauga and fell 9-4.

Makayla Schneider was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Paige Janson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Meanwhile, North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 17-2 to Mentor.

North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Credico, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Credico has hit this season.

North's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for South, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

South might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from North when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
