Basketball Recap: Camryn Rycraft Key Part of a Team Effort in Senators Win

Gooding hadn't done well against Filer recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Gooding Senators came out on top against the Filer Wildcats by a score of 55-43. This was a revenge game for the Senators: when they faced off against the Wildcats last Thursday, they had to take a 58-29 loss.

Gooding's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camryn Rycraft led the charge by going 5 of 11 to rack up 19 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Rycraft a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (80%). Another player making a difference was Olivia Rogers, who posted 11 points and eight boards.

The victory got Gooding back to even at 11-11. As for Filer, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Looking ahead, Gooding will square off against Kimberly at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kimberly will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Gooding surely won't give up without a fight. Filer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
