Basketball Recap: Pelham Piles Up the Points Against Wetumpka

Pelham extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 4-0. They took their game with ease, bagging a 77-45 victory over the Wetumpka Indians. Fans of the Panthers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

As for Wetumpka, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Pelham: they've now lost four in a row.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was John Hudson Wingard, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Wingard now owns an excellent 52.4% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Voyles, who earned ten points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Pelham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 90-31 win against Altamont on the 24th. As for Wetumpka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-53 victory against Prattville on the 24th.
