Madison Plains hadn't done well against Southeastern Local recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles blew past the Trojans 10-0. Considering the Golden Eagles have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ben Rolfe was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Rhoads, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Madison Plains' victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Southeastern Local, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coming up, Madison Plains will venture away from home to square off against West Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles will need to watch out since the Roughriders have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. Southeastern Local has already played their next game (against Triad), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
