Rains can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mount Vernon Tigers. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Tigers back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

The final score came out to 25-16, 27-25, 18-25, 25-22.

Rains' victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 6-26. As for Mount Vernon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-18.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rains will face off against rival Prairiland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mount Vernon is set to challenge their familiar foe Commerce at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
