Orem faced Corner Canyon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won eight matchups in a row.

Orem never let Corner Canyon on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-23, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Corner Canyon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore London Burke had ten digs and two assists.

Orem's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Corner Canyon, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.
