Baseball Recap: Antioch Comes Up Short

Antioch came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Freedom Falcons, falling 9-3. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost seven in a row.

Antioch saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Connelly, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Antioch's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Freedom, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Antioch has already played their next game, a 20-0 win against Ygnacio Valley on the 5th. As for Freedom, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-7 victory against Arroyo on the 5th.
