Baseball Recap: Regis Beats Mohawk for Their Third Straight Win

Regis entered their tilt with Mohawk on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Mustangs 11-1. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by nine runs or more this season.

Regis got a massive performance out of Rook Smith, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Smith a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Korben Schumacher, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Smith wasn't the only one making solid contact: Regis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Regis' record now sits at 6-7. As for Mohawk, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Regis will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
