Winston-Salem Prep is 3-0 against Triad Math and Science Academy since December of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix will host the Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals at 8:00 p.m. Winston-Salem Prep will be strutting in after a victory while Triad Math and Science Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Winston-Salem Prep will head into Wednesday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 28) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Piedmont Classical 54-52. While the Phoenix didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Triad Math and Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Bishop McGuinness and fell 59-17. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 548th, while the Villains are ranked 113th).

Triad Math and Science Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Winston-Salem Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Everything came up roses for Winston-Salem Prep against Triad Math and Science Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 64-21 win.
