Basketball Recap: Josiah Cutter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Globe over Florence

Globe lost against Florence two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Globe Tigers lost to the Florence Gophers on the road by a 86-69 margin.

Globe lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Josiah Cutter, who went 10 of 15 en route to 28 points. Cutter is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Vansler Nosie, who posted 22 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Florence to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Stenson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Stenson has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Adrian Taufaasau, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

Globe has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season. As for Florence, their record is now 19-2.

Globe has already played their next contest, a 62-50 loss against Coolidge on the 31st. As for Florence, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-69 win against Seton Catholic on the 29th.
