The East St. John Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the South Lafourche Tarpons at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
East St. John was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 16-1 walloping at the hands of Destrehan.
Meanwhile, South Lafourche fell victim to a tough 13-5 defeat at the hands of A.J. Ellender on Tuesday. South Lafourche has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jana Bernard and Kailyn Kiger stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bernard scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Kiger scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Vega, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
East St. John's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for South Lafourche, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
