Softball Recap: Oasis Sharks vs. Port Charlotte Pirates
Oasis lost against Port Charlotte back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sharks fell 11-6 to the Pirates.
Faith Tilley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Emma Neujahr was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Oasis' loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Port Charlotte, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.
Looking ahead, Oasis will be playing at home against Southwest Florida Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Port Charlotte, they will venture away from home to square off against Hardee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.19 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
