Softball Recap: Barren County Victorious

Barren County's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Grayson County Cougars a 10-0 shutout. The Trojans have beaten the Cougars the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.

Josey Moore was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Kyra Moore was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Barren County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Coming up, Barren County will head out on the road to take on Russellville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Grayson County, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Warren Central at 5:30 p.m.
