Baseball Recap: Chaparral Has No Trouble Against Vista Grande

Chaparral was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Vista Grande on Thursday. The Chaparral Firebirds were the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over the Vista Grande Spartans. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Firebirds considering their two-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Reece Solar, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Santarius, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Chaparral back to even at 1-1. As for Vista Grande, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Looking ahead, Chaparral will challenge Kofa at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Vista Grande, they will square off against Gilbert Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
