Basketball Game Preview: Andrew Jackson Tigers vs. University Christian Christians

Having just played yesterday, the Andrew Jackson Tigers will jump right back in to play the University Christian Christians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Andrew Jackson will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

On Thursday, Andrew Jackson beat Tocoi Creek 52-44. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Toros are ranked 30th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, University Christian didn't have too much trouble with Nease on Thursday as they won 53-36.

Andrew Jackson better focus on containing Ty Duncan and Markel Holmes as the pair were huge in University Christian's win. Duncan posted 15 points, while Holmes earned 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marvin Christie, who put up six points.

University Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Andrew Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Andrew Jackson took their victory against University Christian in their previous matchup last Thursday by a conclusive 61-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Andrew Jackson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
