Basketball Recap: Juarez-Lincoln Takes a Loss

Juarez-Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Palmview Lobos and fell 96-44. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lobos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 88-27 back in January.

Palmview was led to victory by Jose L Gonzalez and DAMIAN ANAYA. L Gonzalez went 20-for-36 en route to 51 points and six steals, while ANAYA dropped a double-double with 31 points and ten rebounds. With that strong performance, L Gonzalez is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Cristian Flores, who posted three points.

Juarez-Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 1-24. As for Palmview, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 24-14 record this season.

Juarez-Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palmview, they will challenge Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
