After a string of ten wins, Coffee County Central's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers by a score of 8-7. The Red Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Blake Hillis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Cole Pippenger was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Coffee County Central's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Warren County, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coffee County Central will challenge Mundelein at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mundelein will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Coffee County Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Warren County, they will face off against Cumberland County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
