The third road matchup was the charm for St. Ignatius, as they earned their first away win of the season. They walked away with a 45-33 victory over the Riverside Beavers on Friday. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Riverside lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Bo Brandehoff, who threw for 220 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Spencer Short was Brandehoff's top target, picking up 74 receiving yards, while also rushing for 62 yards and one TD.

St. Ignatius' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Ignatius will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Edward at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Riverside, they will face off against Chardon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hilltoppers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Beavers surely won't give up without a fight.
