Softball Recap: Milby Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Milby won against Austin last Tuesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Milby Buffs didn't even let the Madison Marlins on the board, marking the Milby Buffs' second-straight 16-0 shutout. The victory was just business as usual for the Buffs, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Natalie Lara made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lara was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Daniella Juarez was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in doubles. Another player making a difference was Mariah Burnom, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Milby's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.8 runs.
