Basketball Recap: Stratton Piles Up the Points Against Flatirons Academy

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Stratton walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 51-15 win over the Flatirons Academy Bison. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stratton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Clare Miltenberger, who posted nine points along with five boards and four steals. Miltenberger is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 22 games she's played. Elle Bohnen was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 13 points and eight rebounds.

Stratton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Stratton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.3 points. As for Flatirons Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 19-6.

Coming up, Stratton will face off against Fleming at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday. Flatirons Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
