Basketball Recap: Aliceville Takes a Loss

Aliceville lost against Greene County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Aliceville Yellowjackets fell just short of the Greene County Tigers by a score of 42-39. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Greene County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Darryl White Jr, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 assists. White Jr continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronald Wilder Jr., who posted eight points along with 17 boards and three steals.

Aliceville's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Greene County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-10.

As of now, neither Aliceville nor Greene County have any future games scheduled.
