Del Oro's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mark Villa, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Josue Lopez-Perez, who scored 11 points.
Golden Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miguel Ceja, who scored 19 points along with two steals. Ceja has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Soto, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Del Oro has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-23 record this season. As for Golden Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-16.
