Belmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 70-56 to the Lexington Minutemen. One positive for the Marauders, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Belmont's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lexington, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Belmont has already played their next game (against Wilmington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lexington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-56 win against Concord-Carlisle on the 18th.
