Basketball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence's tournament run continued when they took on Poteet on Friday. The Knights fell 35-30 to the Pirates.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Poteet, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Independence will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McKinney Boyd at 1:45 p.m. The Knights will need to watch out since the Broncos have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Poteet, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-33 victory against Grapevine on the 21st.
