Baseball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen East Comes Up Short

Morristown-Hamblen East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Cocke County Fighting Cocks, falling 9-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Cocks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in March.

Morristown-Hamblen East's loss dropped their record down to 6-17-1. As for Cocke County, they pushed their record up to 7-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Morristown-Hamblen East will venture away from home to take on Sevier County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cocke County, they will take on Carter at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Fighting Cocks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Green Hornets have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
