Softball Recap: Clearwater Valley Comes Up Short

If Clearwater Valley was feeling good fresh off their 43-13 takedown of Lapwai on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell just short of Non Varsity Opponent by a score of 13-11 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rams have suffered since May 15, 2024.

Megan Myers stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Rice, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Clearwater Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Non Varsity Opponent wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-2 loss against Waterville on the 17th. Hopefully Clearwater Valley paid attention to Non Varsity Opponent's match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Non Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
