Football Game Preview: Waller Bulldogs vs. Cypress Park Tigers + How To Watch

The Waller Bulldogs will take on the Cypress Park Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waller will be strutting in after a win while Cypress Park will be coming in after a defeat.

Waller gave up the first points on Saturday, but they didn't give up any more after. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cypress Springs 52-21. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won four games by 31 points or more so far this season.

Waller can attribute much of their success to Robert Carter, who gained 244 total yards, and Tristin 'T.K' Gaines, who threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 passes. Caden Sherry was 'T.K' Gaines' top target, picking up 92 receiving yards and one score.

Waller was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 176 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cypress Park faced off against Cypress Woods on Thursday. The Tigers were beaten by the Wildcats 41-14. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost eight in a row.

Waller will have to contain Ja'Harvey Johnson as he made an impact in Cypress Park's last game. He rushed for 171 yards and one TD. With that strong performance, Johnson is now averaging an impressive 100.6 rushing yards per game.

Cypress Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Waller, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Everything came up roses for Waller against Cypress Park when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 47-12 win. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
