Football Recap: Meridian Warriors vs. Kuna Kavemen
If Meridian was riding high fresh off their 45-21 takedown of Centennial last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Meridian Warriors took a 24-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kuna Kavemen on Friday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kavemen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2020.
Kuna found their leader in sophomore Lino Senio, who threw for 120 yards and two touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes.
Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Kuna, they moved to 4-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Meridian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kuna, they will face off against Timberline at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Timberline is coming into the contest with three straight wins at home, so Kuna will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
